I enjoy seeking out photographic subjects with an eye toward their successful translation into an abstract work of art. My recent designs combine my interest in photography, digital photography and multimedia. In my current series, I use numerous travels as inspiration and photographs taken in Dakar Senegal, the Gambia, West Africa and Granville Island, British Columbia.
I especially love creating digital images using free-form techniques, rendering light and color, editing and manipulating them with software technology. My work eventually lead me to study Multimedia art and Web editing at East Bay University, which lead to Website development and design.
I create interesting digital effects on photographic subjects, texturing or blurring to illustrate movement, an added dynamic to the image. My aim is to depict enough realism in the abstract work to have universal appeal. While I still enjoy the traditional methods of painting from time to time, my current style of work focuses on digitalized development, production standards and
techniques-- transferring photographic images in Photoshop, Fireworks and, drawing, colorizing, adding effects and customization for print. Selected works sold at Artist Rising.
