Experimenting is all part of my creative process, which is why I use either traditional, or digital media. I have a love of all things fantasy, imaginative, and having to do with the feminine spirit, but some of my creations were also inspired by the adorable critters in my own backyard.
For traditional mediums, I work mostly in pencil, acrylic, and watercolor, but have been known to dabble in other mediums as well. I've also taken the leap into digital art, transferring my pencil sketches to the computer before working on the final painting.
Starting at a young age, I learned many techniques from wonderful art teachers. From then, went on to learn and experiment on my own. It was from admiring the cover art by artists, like Larry Elmore and Michael Whelan, that prompted me to try my hand at fantasy art. Although they've inspired me, my style is all my own.
I have to admit that I am drawn towards the colors blue, purple and green. That in no way means I won't expand beyond them. While most of my art is light and whimsical, some can be dark and mysterious. I am always on the lookout for new ways to express my creativity and you may see some of that in upcoming works.
