I take pleasure in creating certain moods with my photography and allowing the viewer's imagination guide them. The colors in the Caribbean are exciting and permit me to express myself on another level. The sky, sun and water are luminous in the tropics, bringing out strong shadows and shades of color.
Alice Terrill is a photographer and digital artist, specializing in nature, landscapes, flora and fauna native to the Caribbean. Alice has resided in Puerto Rico for more than 30 years and lives near the El Yunque Rain Forest where she has her art studio. Photographs of hers have been published in various publications including, Caribbean Travel & Life, The Virgin Islander, The San Juan Star, El Nuevo Dia, El Vocero, among various others. Hallmark Cards have used her images for their famous greeting cards.
Alice has exhibited her art in the Museo Castillo Serralles in Ponce, PR., the Luis Munoz Marin Foundation, the Museum of the Americas in Miami, Fl., the Julia Burgos Art Center in Cleveland, O., and Boston Convention Center, Boston, Ma. During the months of Oct.-Dec/09, she will be participating in a group art exhibit Erasmus U. in The Hague, in the Netherlands.
