Since the founding of my graphic studio, I've established a design aesthetic that is bold, retro, classic, and draws from vintage travel posters for inspiration.
I travelled often as a child, and my love of travel inspires me to capture those journeys through the travel posters I design.
I try to create images that are retro in feel but also classic and timeless.
After graduating from Tulane University, I began my career as an architectural assistant, executing design documents and creating architectural renderings for one of the leading architectural firms in London, the GMW Partnership. There I began to hone my creative skills and developed a strong interest in the graphic and visual aspects of design.
Upon returning to the US, I made the transition from architecture to graphic design. I relocated to northern California and served as designer / art director for such companies as Whole Foods Market and Peet’s Coffee & Tea. I soon began to develop my philosophy of visual communication via powerful graphic images and innovative graphic solutions.
Growing up in a US Air Force family, I've spent the better part of my life traveling the globe, having lived in nine states and three foreign countries. Spain, California, Missouri, the Azores, Oklahoma, Mississippi and England are just a few of the places I've called home. Being the new kid on the block so often helped to develop my powers of observation and my eye for detail, both of which are reflected in my artwork and designs today. My travels have also given me a broad array of visual, culutural and geographic references to which I regularly turn to for ideas.
