Art is something I have not been doing as long as others. My work reflects who I am that day. Some days I feel like painting every hair on the dog and other days I just feel like making a mess and letting the paint flow. Most artists have a specific style or way they do things. I approach each painting in a similar way, but each one is handled differently. Nevertheless, my paintings all have similarities that reflect how I was feeling at that moment.
I was born in 1974 in the great white north of Wisconsin. After graduating high school in 1992, I went to college to study Journalism. After that, I moved to Madison where I got into Graphic Design at Madison Area Technical College and earned an Associates Degree in Graphic Design.
I've always admired art but knew I didn’t have the talent for it. Because art is all talent and requires no work at all right? Um, no. I went back to school at Madison and took drawing and painting classes. After hard work and determination I applied to the Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida. I worked hard and drew everyday and graduated with honors from Ringling in 2002.
So, after 6 years of college and two degrees later, I have found himself working in advertising while drawing and painting my way through life.
My wife Lindsay, daughter Emily and I reside in Atlanta, Georgia where our lives together have been a blessing.
