Carla Marino was born in Finale Ligure in 1952. She currentlty live and works in San Lorenzo al Mare. She has loved drawing and painting since she was a child.She attended the "Liceo (Italian Secondary school)"specialised in art subjects in Savona,the specialised in figurative arts in an Art Istitute in Torino.Her first one-woman exhibition was prepared in 1969 in Noli (Savona),in Saint John's deconsecrated Church and on that occasion critics said that Carla Marino's works reminded Goya's painting style.The exhibited paintings showed mainly faces and figures.Recent prizes:international Oscar of Montecarlo,the Biennial Ermatage du Riou in Cannes,Biennal Exhibition in Venezia and nomination Doge of venezia,Prize Christian Andersen in Copenaghen,in Firenze Prize Gonfalone of the Art,Roma Prize Saint City.In 2003,during a great ceremony at the Principe Hotel in Venezia,the artist was awarded the prize of the Biennial Exhibition of modern Art in Venezia-San Marco on the basis of the following reason:a warm painting style,full of colours and noises,of matter and of life;an expressionism where nature shines in its most explosive forms,while elements are separated against any rule of life experience,thus giving rise to a fantastic magic.
