my work is expressionist-figurative. I produce series with themes like "The Carnival', "Naked", "The artist in the studio", "The Model", "Still life ", and a new one called "Womans and still life on the beach'. This is referring to the thematic. The process is thoughts departing from the idea of imagining a space to express love,hate,resentment,violence and peace in a contemporary languageThe discovery is using the imagination since I work without a model in from of me. It is a poetic-spiritual-erotic dialogue that together forms a whirlwind is the resul of a beatiful visual dialogue. I process enerthing in different step like small formats of ink paper,pastel,watercolor.oil on canvaspaper,wood which are the surfaces. the formt stars from small to large and this is the way it enriches the creative process and flow in order to express my dialogue. Francisco Vidal grew up in Barranquilla,Colombia a beatiful city full at sun and palm threes,beaches and warm calit people,after attending The faculty of Fine Art in Bellas Artes for thee years,he worked in his home-studio in Barranquilla and in 1969 for the firt time left to new York City for new oportunity, with all his lerned hi star work hard and look for oportunity for show his on ideas.In 1984 he was honor with a grant from The Jerome Foundation in New York for studi Lithography in The Workshop-Blackbournd,print shop for two years. and in 1984 another scholarship for a Studio in (P.S.1) National and International Studios Program,Project Studios One,long island City,N.Y.for two years 1984-1986.In 1992 gain a Scholarship from The Foundation MidAtlantic Arts Foundation national endowment for The Arts Regional scholarship,Baltimore,maryland for $5.000,oo for work in any project and hi realize his first edition of lithography in taller Dos in Bogota',Colombia Hi exhibit his works in galleries and museums in all around in U.S.A and in South-America, Spain,Italy.
