A picture is worth a thousand...Cliche but true. I am a novelist, playwright and writer of short stories as well as a visual fine artist. So, for me it is all about narrative. Not everyone has to see the same story in what I create, but something must be evoked, emotion, a sense of place or event -- something. My work is surreal -- yes, but conceptual also. And it is collaborative. Each of the models brought their interpretation to what I describe in each of these images.
I'm an outsider with no formal training in art. The closest I came to any visual art training was working as a photogrpher and cinematographer, mostly shooting commercials. However, when Regonomics made it difficult to maintain a living in the film industry, I took to visual fine arts, first oil painting on photos, then rendering objects and whole worlds onto photogrphs then on illustration board, which I married to photographs in the computer. Very quickly, I found myself in shows and with gallery representation in Chicago.
