I am a self taught artist who has been painting for several years. I primarily use acrylics on stretched canvas in a fun, folk art style. I am inspired and moved by Scripture, simple things, and my home state of Texas. I enjoy watching a painting come together and often change from my original vision. I like the flexibility of acrylics. I have even used a fork to get a texture and look I was wanting. My studio is in our home where I live with my wonderful husband and our three preschool age sons.

I grew up in the Piney Woods of North East Texas. I have been painting and drawing all of my life. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in English, which is probably why I often incorporate written words into my art. I have just begun to offer my art for sale, but have been painting special requests from friends and family for years. I am a wife to a very supportive husband and a mother. I have three preschool age boys who I enjoy greatly and who bless me tremendously. I am active in our church and with our extended families. I love to paint. I feel extra alive when I am painting or thinking about my next painting. I hope you enjoy it, too.
