For me, when looking at an artwork and judging its merits, my only question is, "Would I enjoy seeing this every day hanging on my wall at home?". If the answer is Yes, then it's wonderful art in my point of view....I am not one of these people who believes you need to shock with your art, or be so radical that no-one else can see the point of your work - for me, it's about presenting a pleasant aesthetic, something which will bring people enjoyment, adding a smile and a little extra sunshine to their lives every time they look at it.
Brought up barefoot in the African wilderness, Tanya has always had a love of nature. Coming from a family of artistic people, she has lived surrounded by a spirit of creativity and innovation her whole life and has always drawn on the natural world for her artistic inspiration. Tanya is a freelance designer, focusing on a wide range of products from greeting cards to textiles and fashion accessories. She has recently returned to live in Kenya. She loves travelling to wild and beautiful places all over the world, and continues to draw her inspiration from Nature and all its myriad shapes and colours.
