I am inspired by the natural designs of nature and it has greatly influenced my designs used in my abstract paintings. I like rolls and folds as fabric and petals. Painting as well as traveling, gives me a sense of freedom and peace, and inspires me to stretch my comfort zone, and enjoy many other creative outlets. This was greatly experienced this winter 2006 , for 2 months my Son & I traveled to Florida for 7 juried art shows, we had a great time and experenced developing a new relaxed style for my self. We painted inbetween shows, away from routine activities at home. When I'm painting, I'm at my best, when I can block all other thought processes and just let my mind flow with the paint. My extiensive travel has opened my eyes to the lay and design of my surroundings which show in my landscapes, still life & abstracts.

As a self taught artist, from a family of artists (Father ,Brother & Son). I was born 1943 and raised in Tennessee/North Georgia. And have traveled through some of the European countries, Italy, England, Greece, etc. I started a picture framing company in Chattanooga, Tennessee in 1981 and as of 2007, I'm still operating that business.
