The view is of a roadside landscape in central California in wine country backroads. I was struck by how strong and firm the one tree stood, alone in the field, elegant, strong, remote. It was taken in color then converted to black and white. While I love the color image as well, the starkness of the black and white gives such focus to the tree, and mood that I felt when viewing it from the road.
