Cascade Creek is located along the North Shore of Lake Superior in Casade River State Park near Grand Marais, Minnesota. Accessible from the Lake Superior Hiking Trail, it's one of my favorite places to paint. These birch trees were found just off the creek. The golden colors of the birch contrast in fine fashion with the crimson and fading greens of the brush and grasses. Cascade Creek is located to the southwest of the tumbling Cascade River and all of its great waterfalls and rapids.
