About this work:
As I walked around the Botanical Gardens in Brooklyn, this particular waterlily was floating on its lilypad enjoying the afternoon summer sun. Using a combination of Rembrandt pastel sticks and CarbOthello pastel pencils, I used very vivid colors with some contrasting tones to capture this beauty.
