This is a painting of a rundown rural farmstead on a dirt road at sunset. There is a man with a cane walking down the road looking toward the glowing windows of the house. It's obvious someone is at home, but it's unclear if the house shown is the man's destination. He is enduring his continued journey, just as the house and barn are enduring the ravages of time.

Red Cows on Grapevine Road

Painting of an old abandoned and derelict 1938 (?) Ford car that I found on a farm in North Carolina. The engine and wheels are missing, as are the windows. It sits in dappled sunlight in a thin pine grove next to the side of an old barn where two old license plates have been attached.

This is a painting of an old country store that is still in business a few miles north of Clayton, NC, USA. I painted it in late afternoon light after a rain shower when the only signs of life around the place were a comfortable looking dog and a couple of chickens. It appears that the store sells
