Photograph of a lotus flower taken in St. Louis's Forest Park. In the fall the lily pond blooms with colorful lotus flowers. On this particular day I waited by the pond while my husband and dog napped in the grass, and once the sun set behind the trees the water took on this vibrant blue. The yellow flower is made more striking by the contrast of the calm blue water.
