“Adobe Gate with Red Hollyhocks” is an original Oil Painting. Painted with a palette knife. The adobe wall is a terra cotta color and the gate/door is a reddish brown, typical of Southwest architecture. The red hollyhocks in the foreground are the state flower of New Mexico. They do well is the desert heat and are seen often along adobe walls. There is a pot full of pink geraniums near the gateway. The painting measures 10”H x 8”W and is painted on canvas. It is framed in a wood frame approximately 1.5” wide that enhances the painting. It is ready to hang.
