What the artist says about this work:
This small (24" x 24") metal work shows two combatants locked in struggle, who almost seem to form a single shape, an impression heightened by the the fact that both are made from a single piece of sign painter's metal, their separate bodies defined only by accents of black and red. The bulk of those bodies is shown by the fact that they do not quite fit within any of the boundaries of the work.
