What the artist says about this work:
Over the years I've taken to studying the work of masters. I love to recreate their originals and add my 21st century twist. Leonardo Da Vinci is one of my favorites to delve into! This is a study of his work, HEAD OF A GIRL, c. 1486-90 Royal Library, Turin. It was originally created with silverpoint and white on rose-colored paper. I turned it into a full-colored oil. The coloring is designed to change in different light. In low light it looks quite "classical Da Vinci" and in other light it has a hint of prime-color, San Francisco Figurative pallette.
