My black and white photography is intended to arouse a sense of nostalgia and appreciation for those things that either no longer exist or have become unusually rare in most peoples lives. To bring joy and to stimulate curiosity in the world around us brings to me a strong feeling of accomplishment. "Steam Locomotive" was made just as the train was leaving the Cumberland station with a load of train enthusiasts, bound for a scenic ride to enjoy fall colors. The original print is dry mounted on 16"x20" Westminster Museum Quality 100% rag board. The giclee print is made using archival materials and is intended to last more than 100 years.
