This is one of four in The Global Burger Series. The series focuses on the hamburger as a global icon. With all of its associations it says more about us as a global industrial society than we realize. In this particular work it's evident that the global pursuit of money is on a level with the actual consumption of food. The hamburger buns are created from sculptured paper, painted in the encaustic (wax + oil paint) technique, applied to a gold-leafed surface on mdf board, with real waxed dollar bills as a filling.
