About Artist Rising
Artist Rising is a new online community for contemporary artists around the world, providing tools and resources to enable artists to pursue their artistic and professional goals.
Artist Rising provides our member artists with the ability to create galleries on the web from which their artwork (both originals and prints) may be viewed and purchased by members of the public. Member artists may also list their work for sale on the Artist Rising marketplace (www.artistrising.com) and, in the near future, will be given access to additional online marketplaces to present their work for sale to the public. Artist Rising also provides content, information, and networking tools to communicate with other members and the extended art community worldwide. We are a work in progress and will be introducing new features in the future.
Membership in Artist Rising entitles you to create a gallery and offer your work for purchase to the public on Artist Rising. You will also be able to participate in the forums and access our ever-growing content and features.
Artist Rising was founded on the principle of democratizing the art world. Artist Rising is a part of the Art.com family of websites, and in its early days, it was called the Art.com Original Art & Photography program.

Membership Benefits Explained

Print-on-Demand
Our Print-on-Demand program makes it easy for you to generate revenue from your artwork by offering your art for sale as affordable posters and fine-art prints - without an excessive and expensive investment in time, money or inventory.
Once you set up your artwork for Print-on-Demand, your art is primed and ready for printing and sale the moment it’s ordered by customers. And, it can generate sales far into the future with no further action by you.
All images submitted for Print-on-Demand are subject to review and approval to confirm their compliance with our Content Policy.

Royalty Rate and Sale Price
Members earn royalties on Print sales. All members receive a 15% royalty on the sale of each print.
Royalties for all prints are calculated based on the final sale price of the prints, net of discounts, promotions, taxes, returns and shipping and handling. Royalty payments are issued monthly, with a minimum payout of $50 (USD).

Member Proceeds on Sale of Original Art
From member galleries, all prospective buyers of original art are directed to the individual artist to discuss the sale (via a blind email link, so your email address is never posted publicly). Thereafter, all sales, shipments and deliveries are fully transacted between you and the buyer and you receive 100% of the proceeds on the sale of any original work.
We are conducting a limited test of the sale of Original Art on the Artist Rising marketplace. Once this program is introduced more broadly, artists will have another option for selling their original artwork. |
Email Marketing
Free to all members, this, easy-to-use marketing tool lets you build an online address book of up to 100 friends, colleagues and prospects, and send email invitations with a direct link to your gallery.

Reports
Generate and review free real-time reports reflecting your print sales and associated royalties, as well as the traffic to your gallery. |
Our Policies
Artist Rising has several policies that govern use of the Artist Rising website and service by member artists and the public.
Terms of Use - Govern the use of the Artist Rising website and service generally by any user
Artist Agreement - Applicable to member artists, with specific provisions governing use of galleries, sales of works, royalties, and other topics relevant to our members
Content Policy - The rules detailing the limitations on the subject matter that members’ artwork may portray
Privacy Policy - The rules governing how we will use and not use member and customer information
Royalties
Member artists earn royalties on the sale of every print sold. Royalties are derived from the final retail cost paid by the customer after valid promotional discounts have been applied. All members receive a 15% royalty on the sale of each Poster Print.
